Students mean Business!

Year 11 students were put through their paces in an ‘Entry 2 Employment’ programme this week at Hassenbrook School in Stanford le Hope.

The importance of first impressions, preparation and effective interview skills were discussed prior to students being placed in an actual interview situation with employers, police officers, councillors and local businessmen and women.  Twelve students on each day were awarded certificates for their performance recognising their interview skills and the fact that they could present themselves in a very positive way to a prospective employer.

Beverly McPherson from Enterprise was very heartened by the positive response from the students, ‘ They engaged in the activities from the outset and demonstrated the ability to maximise their skills’.
