Auschwitz survivor conveys compassion to students at Hassenbrook.

Hassenbrook Academy had the pleasure of receiving a very special visitor for the third consecutive year this week, when Mr Leslie Kleinman, Holocaust survivor spoke to our current Year 9 students.

Festive Treats for Elderly in the Community.

Head Girl Chloe Sebastiao and Head Boy Luke Wildish from Hassenbrook Academy, together with their deputies visited Tesco Express this week to collect 22 Christmas food parcels.

MAX WINS AWARD

Year 10 student Max Pryor was awarded the Mayor’s Prize during the Thurrock Civic Awards ceremony held on the 30th September.

 In July 2010 Max and his uncle had saved two girls from drowning off Chalkwell Beach near Southend.  Already rewarded by the coastguard and written up in local papers, this award further congratulates Max on his courage and bravery.

Well done Max we are very proud of you!
