Tree-mendous Donation

Hassenbrook School received a donation of trees this week from School House Studios following the production of the new Hassenbrook School Prospectus. Creative Director of the company Edd Terran arrived laden with trailer, trees and shovel as part of the Tree Appeal to plant six trees in the grounds of the school. The Tree Appeal plants trees to promote biodiversity, create habitats and improve the environment for people. It is sponsored by businesses that want to make a positive contribution to the environment and allows responsible companies the opportunity to put something back.

Three year seven students received a certificate from the appeal to acknowledge the planting of an oak, ash, birch, two lime trees and a hazel tree along the perimeter of our school field.

This is a welcome addition to the student’s leisure area and with sufficient watering will hopefully one day bloom into an established tree lined walkway. Information on the project can be viewed at: http://www.treeappeal.comp:
